• How do I apply for the American Rent Scheme (rent-payment assistance)?

Visit our website and go to the “Apply Now” section or pick up an application form from our office at No. 2 Okpong We Street, Adjiringanor (near Ability Square), Accra (https://maps.app.goo.gl/HNsxzk3Gj8tGb69K9). Complete the application form and submit it to our office together with all the required documents.

• Are there any interest rates or charges for the American Rent Scheme?

TISOL charges a monthly premium of 2.1% of the monthly rent the client agrees with the landlord to pay for the desired property. The client will make payment of the monthly rent together with the premium of 2.1% on a monthly basis to TISOL.

• Is any security deposit required?

Clients are required to pay the equivalent of two (2) months’ rent as a refundable security deposit to be used for undertaking repairs at the end of the tenancy agreement in the event of any damage to the property by the client. The entire security deposit will be refunded within seven (7) days of the date of termination of the tenancy agreement, if the client has no repairs or settles the repairs and replacements on their own. The security deposit must be paid before TISOL makes payment of the entire rent-advance demanded by the landlord.

• Who can apply for the American Rent assistanceScheme?

Everyone with a verifiable monthly income or a guarantor who has a verifiable income is eligible to apply. Even persons not resident in Ghana can apply to rent properties in Ghana for use by their family members.

• Does TISOL provide the American Rent Scheme rent assistance for rentals outside Accra?

Yes, we do. As long as the applicant satisfies the eligibility criteria, and the landlord can be contacted and verified by TISOL the subject property can be anywhere within the country.

• Does TISOL allow Joint applications under the American Rent Scheme?

Joint applications are also permitted to allow couples, siblings, friends and co-workers to satisfy the affordability condition and secure their preferred unit

• What is the maximum rent TISOL will pay under the American Rent Scheme?

TISOL does not have a limit on the rent-advance allowable under the American Rent Scheme.. However, the duration of the rent-advance required should not exceed 24 months (2 years)

• Are there any hidden charges or payments required to access the American Rent Scheme?

There are no hidden charges or payments which will be demanded. We operate a transparent service which is aimed at giving the utmost convenience and benefit to the client. Upon approval of your application for the American Rent Scheme, you will be required to make payment of two (2) months’ rent as a security deposit, and pay the rent for the first month of your tenancy. There are no other charges or fees

• Does TISOL have property for rent under the American Rent Scheme

Applicants are to identify their desired property. TISOL has a network of realtors all over the country who are able to assist applicants to find properties which fit the applicant’s parameters. Please contact the office for recommended realtors to assist you.

• Does TISOL provide mortgages for the purchase of properties?

No, TISOL does not provide mortgages or other financial services for the acquisition of properties.

• What are the main eligibility requirements for the American

The successful applicant should be able to provide proof of a reliable income, able to have employer deduct the rent from the applicant’s salary and pay directly to TISOL, and the rent for the desired property should not exceed 40% of the applicant’s monthly salary.

• Does TISOL have properties for sale?

Yes, we have a list of properties which have been entrusted to TISOL and its network by credible property owners to market and sell. The list of available properties is available on this website under the Buy/Rent. However, more details can be provided upon contact with our office.
